Ronald McDonald House Herston is funded through generous donations from corporates, businesses, community groups and individuals. It is the continued goodwill of the community that keeps the house operational to service families in need.

This makes it truly, the house that love built.

We would like to thank those who have supported the House over the years. Without them, we would not be able to continue to provide this special home away from home.


Community support will always be needed. You can help by contributing financially or donating products or services.

  • 80% of consumers say a company's commitment to causes is important when deciding which businesses they want in their communities

  • 90% of workers whose companies have a cause program feel proud of their companies' values, versus 56% of those whose employers are not committed to a cause
  • 87% of employees feel a strong sense of loyalty to their companies with cause programs versus 67% of those employed in companies without a cause association

Workplace Giving- Payroll Deductions


Workplace Giving Program is an effective way employees can contribute to the vital projects at Ronald McDonald House. Workplace giving is a payroll contribution scheme where direct pre-tax donations from registered employees have a positive and lasting impact on the lives of families with seriously ill children.  Contributions are pre-tax and tax free !

For tax advice, it is recommended you contact your Accountant or Tax Advisor.


How it works:


Donations are deducted each pay period direct from your gross salary, by arrangement with your employer's payroll department. All you need to do is decide on the amount you wish to give, it's that simple.


Because your donations are processed through your pay you receive an immediate, guaranteed tax deduction - you do not have to collect, keep and claim receipts.  To find out more, please contact us.

Adopt a Room Sponsorship and Naming Rights

Our Adopt a Room program  involves sponsoring the costs associated with the upkeep and maintenance of our individual or self-contained units for a period of 5 years.

For a tax deductable contribution of $5,000 for an individual room or $8,000 for a self-contained unit you not only have your company name displayed, you also make a substantial contribution to the comfort and security of the families who stay here.

We also include communal areas in this program which includes our cinema lounge, family lounge, children's computer room and other areas.

Goods in kind


Our Goods in Kind, donation program provides our business partners with a tremendous opportunity to showcase their products and services to people who need them most.

Money Boxes

A Money Box has been designed to be used by various businesses and retail outlets to secure donations from both the general public and internal employees. Our distinct money box is in the design of a house and provides a good opportunity for departing house families to take one with them to their home town country community and place in a prominent location in respective retail outlets. Placement of the Money boxes need to ensure the integrity of Ronald McDonald House Herston is maintained at all times.

Fund Raising for the House


We welcome support from businesses and corporate's who choose to embark on a fund raising exercise for Ronald McDonald House Herston. These activities may include but are not limited to; raffles, gold coin days, formal dinners, corporate golf days, auctions and so on.
