Herston is funded through generous donations from corporate's, businesses,
community groups and individuals. It is the continued goodwill of
the community that keeps the house operational to service families
in need. This makes it truly, the house that love built.
We would like to thank those who have supported the House over the
years. Without them, we would not be able to provide a home away
from home.

Bequest
Ronald McDonald House Herston touches the lives of many families
who have either stayed at the House or have been supporters of the
House. The children who benefit from the support of this House will be very grateful for your generosity
as a testator leaving a bequest to Ronald McDonald House Herston
Many families wish to leave a donation within their will. It is
very important that any bequest be correctly worded within the will.
Through consultation with your Solicitor, wording as follows should
be incorporated within your will.
If you wish to make a residuary gift, the following wording is appropriate:
"I give all the rest of my real and personal property whatever
and wherever situated to Ronald McDonald House Herston for its general
purpose and the receipt of the Secretary or other authorized Officer
of Ronald McDonald House Herston shall be sufficient discharge to
my executor or trustee".
If you wish to donate a percentage of your estate the following
wording is appropriate:
"I give ___% of my estate to Ronald McDonald House Herston
for its general purposes. The receipt of the Secretary or other
authorized Officer of Ronald McDonald House Herston will be a sufficient
discharge to my executor or trustee".
If you wish to donate a specific sum the following is appropriate:
"I give the sum of $_____ to Ronald McDonald House Herston
for its general purposes. The receipt of the Secretary or other
authorized Officer of Ronald McDonald House Herston will be a sufficient
discharge to my executor or trustee".
Our Adopt a Room Program / Naming Rights
Our 'Adopt a Room' Program involves sponsoring the costs associated with
the upkeep and maintenance of our individual or self-contained rooms for a period of 5 years. With a tax
deductible contribution, from $5,000 for a single room to $8,000 for a self-contained unit you can make a tremendous
difference to the lives of our families with your gift. The room is also signed with your name.
We also include communal areas in this program which includes our cinema lounge, family lounge, children's computer room and others.

Food
for Families Program
Many of our families arrive under emergency situations which does not allow them time to pack items such as clothing,
personal toiletries and food. We do keep a supply of basic items and a stocked pantry for such occasions, with canned goods and non-perishable foods.
This makes it easy for families to prepare quick meals and snacks
until they have an opportunity to shop for themselves.

Fundraising
for the House
We welcome support from corporate groups and individuals who choose to embark on a fund
raising exercise for Ronald McDonald House Herston. These activities
may include but are not limited to:

- Casual dress days at the office or at school
